What are Microgreens?

Microgreen is considered as the tiny and fresh plants and despite their small size they are packed with a high level of nutrients. Microgreen are young and edible seedlings which are harvested before their maturation period which is 7 to 14 days after germination. These small plants are about 1 to 3 inches long and can make your meal highly nutritious.

Researchers found that microgreen plants which are harvested at an earlier stage contain high levels of vital nutrients when compared with their matured counterpart. For example if we look upon the Microgreen plant of red cabbage, it is proved to have 40 time’s higher Vitamin E content and 6 times higher Vitamin C content than the matured red cabbage plants.
